Assistant & Apprentice to Refrigeration Technician

Tempcor (PTY) LTD, a privately owned and rapidly growing Commercial Refrigeration company, is seeking a young, motivated and enthusiastic individual who wants to learn a trade, to join our team as an Assistant & Apprentice to a Refrigeration Technician.

Position Overview:

This is an excellent opportunity to learn and develop your skills in the refrigeration industry. As an Assistant & Apprentice, you will work closely with our experienced technicians, gaining hands-on experience in maintaining and servicing refrigeration equipment and ice machines.

Salary: R8000 - R12000 (Basic + Incentives).

Key Responsibilities:

• Learn to maintain and service refrigeration equipment and ice machines.

• Assist in performing preventative maintenance and repairs on refrigeration units.

• Keep tools, parts, equipment, and supplies in clean, safe, and operational condition.

• Build and maintain positive and professional relationships with team members.

• Provide support to Senior Technicians during service calls and repairs.

• Maintain a strong attendance record and time management.

• Approach tasks with a positive attitude and a willingness to learn.

Minimum Requirements:

• At least 1 year of experience in refrigeration is preferred.

• A post-matric qualification in Refrigeration is advantageous.

• Fluency in English (spoken, written, and reading).

• A valid driver’s license is advantageous.

• Ability to work under pressure.

• Team-oriented, punctual, and prepared to work overtime and be on stand-by as needed.

• Strong desire to learn and grow in the field of refrigeration.
